Artist Statement
Siddharth Jain explores human connection and the patterns of the universe through pen, aquarelle, and poetry. His work integrates visual art, performance, and storytelling to create immersive, participatory spaces that invite reflection, dialogue, and collective growth. By blending intricate drawings, fluid paintings, and evocative text, Siddharth’s practice fosters empathy, vulnerability, and a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness.

- Life Goes Like This, The Netherlands – 2020
- Description: A wall installation using scribbles and written conversations to explore life’s unpredictability. The work invited viewers to reflect on their own journeys, creating a deeply personal and interactive experience.
- Medium: Mixed media on wall.
Group Exhibitions
- Kultour Altdorf, Germany – 2023
- Description: A collaborative exhibition in a historic bakery-turned-gallery, featuring works inspired by everyday objects and the building’s history. Participants wrote messages on postcards, imagining the voices of everyday objects, which were then displayed on a wall.
- Collaboration: Worked with photographer Ilias De Quidt and 9 other artists.
- Medium: Paintings and participatory postcard installation.
- A Thick Little Piece of Paper, Ytterjärna, Sweden – 2019
- Description: Captured the essence of 30 individuals through sketches, paintings, and poetry on postcards. Participants guessed which artwork represented which individual, creating an emotional and interactive experience.
- Medium: Pen, watercolor, and poetry on postcards.
Performances
- Wisdom Pot, Tomma Rum, Sweden – 2023
- Description: A participatory performance combining singing, storytelling, and audience collaboration, inspired by a Rumi poem. The performance began with a group of artists singing and leading the audience to a cabin in nature, where Siddharth shared a story about wisdom and connection. Participants were invited to write and share pieces of wisdom, fostering meaningful exchanges.
- Collaboration: Worked with 6 artists to create a multisensory experience.

- Lunga Performance, Iceland – 2019
- Description: A dance performance blending yoga, martial arts, house, vogue, and breakdance, set in Iceland’s natural landscape. The performance began with artists emerging from behind trees and rocks, creating a sense of surprise and wonder.
- Collaboration: Worked with Dutch performance group 155.
- Medium: Dance and movement.
- Property Rites, NEST, The Netherlands – 2017-2020
- Description: A performance adaptation of Alan Haehnel’s play, exploring themes of art, technology, and human nature through the rebellion of human-figure sculptures. Siddharth played the role of a robot, inviting viewers to reflect on the relationship between creators and their creations.

Immersive Experiences
- Possibilities Workshop, Global – 2017-2020
- Description: A series of participatory experiences exploring how shifting perspectives can create hope and possibilities. Through storytelling, improv theater, and reflection exercises, participants discovered new ways to approach life’s challenges.
- Impact: Over 500 participants across 20 locations reported personal transformations and new solutions to life’s challenges.
- Collaboration: Partnered with organizations like Shikshantar Foundation, Global Discovery School, and NavGurukul.
- Wisdom Pot, Tomma Rum, Sweden – 2023
- Description: Created a multisensory, immersive space where participants shared wisdom and built connections through storytelling and collaboration. The experience left participants feeling enriched and connected.
